Meet the Lux Dental Team
SUZANNE TACK DDS
I have wanted to be a dentist for as long as I can remember. I knew from a young age that I was passionate about helping others and providing care. It was after I got braces on my own teeth that I realized what a difference it made for me—I remember clearly how having a straight and bright smile changed the way I felt about myself and also how I presented myself to others. I never took for granted what having a confident smile felt like. From then on, I knew I wanted to be able to change others lives in the way mine was.
After attending Marquette University for my undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene, I went on to four more years of dental School at Marquette University School of Dentistry, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. My education didn’t stop there, however. I have taken extensive courses with Digital Smile Design, Spear Education, Invisalign, Clinical Mastery Series and more. Over my 14 years of practice, I have found that creating smile makeovers and providing comprehensive dental care to all of my patients is what I love to do. It is my duty to help educate, inform and provide my patients with superior care to the best of my ability and it is a duty I hold of utmost importance.
I am professionally involved in the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, as well as a member of Spear Education. Additionally, I have been on four separate medical mission trips, two to Honduras and two to Nicaragua, to provide dental care to the underserved people in those countries. Those trips were a life-changing experience for me and truly showed me the beauty of giving back.
Over the course of my career, one of the things that I value the most is the trust that my patients have placed in me. I take pride in getting to know my patients on a personal level–I want to know you, your families and be a part of your healthcare team. Anyone who knows me knows I love to talk, laugh, and I genuinely enjoy being part of my patients' lives. I am grateful that patients trust me and I believe that providing individualized and customized care to each unique individual is of utmost importance.
In my free time, you will likely find me spending time with my husband, Corey, and our dog, Chunky Monkey! We love to cook and entertain our friends and family. Staying physically active is very important to me so Chunk and I love long walks when I’m not pedaling away on my Peloton. My family is incredibly close and there is not a weekend that goes by where you won’t find one of my siblings or nieces and nephews hanging out at our house. I am beyond excited to live and practice in the strong Mequon and Thiensville community.
MEET JILL
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jill has lived in the North Shore area since she was a teenager. After attending MATC, she has worked as a dental hygienist for the last 19 years.
Her ability to encourage her patients with good dental habits continues to spark her passion for dental care. This connects with her strong value of treating everyone with kindness.
Outside of work, Jill spends time with her son, Ty. Her interests are music, working out, trying new restaurants and traveling.
Her favorite motto is “Remember a great smile always comes back to you.”
MEET JUSTEN
Practice Administrator
Justen has been in the dental industry for 20 years and could not be more excited to be a part of the Lux Dental team! Helping people find more courage and confidence through brighter and healthier smiles is the best part of her job.
Many moons ago, she saw a smile transformation on a makeover television show and decided then and there she wanted to be a part of that world, a part of changing people‘s lives through smiles. She hasn’t looked back since.
Outside of work, Justen likes to spend time with her family and friends, and nurture her creative side by writing books and designing book covers.
MEET SIERRA
Dental Assistant
Sierra lives in Hubertus, Wisconsin and is currently attending MATC for dental hygiene. She wants to become a dental hygienist because teeth fascinate her. The first thing she notices about someone is their teeth.
Sierra loves trying new things such as food. In her free time, she likes to take her dog on walks and hike. Her family is very important to her.
MEET OCTAVIA
Dental Assistant
Octavia is a Chicago native but she’s lived in Wisconsin since the age of 4. A graduate of Kaplan College, she has over 16 years of dental experience.
Cosmetic dentistry has always been an area of dentistry she enjoys. She loves the profound and life-changing experience it creates in patients' lives. Octavia loves the bond and relationships she builds with her patients - they’ve become family!
MEET KAREENA
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kareena lives in Lannon, WI and recently graduated as a Dental Hygienist from WCTC. With a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, Kareena takes pride in helping her patients achieve optimal dental hygiene and making others smile.
Outside of work, Kareena enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and traveling new places.
She has always had a love for caring for others and is very excited to be a part of the Lux team!
MEET ELIZABETH
Smile Concierge
Elizabeth graduated with a double major in marketing and management from Concordia University Wisconsin. She may be new to the dental industry but she has no shortage of experience in customer service! Her passion is making people her priority.
Elizabeth loves meeting and welcoming patients and seeing all the smiling faces that walk through the Lux doors!
When she’s not at Lux you can find her spending time with her husband and family or decorating her space with the latest design trends!

It's not often one enjoys visiting the dentist, however after my first trip to Lux Dental that's exactly what happened! From the warm welcome right when walking in, the beautiful atmosphere while waiting, kindness & thoroughness of my hygienist Jill and expertise of Dr. Tack, it was all top of the line. I cannot recommend Lux enough, only 6 months until my next visit!

This wasn't a simple dental visit. It was an experience, a good one. They took me in right at my appointment time (that's a biggie). The staff is great and helpful. The facilities were clean and bright. Dr Tack is by far the best dentist I have ever had. Shout out to Chunk!

I had an incredible experience at Lux today! I needed filling repairs and dread any dental work, however, today changed my outlook on all things dentistry! I was greeted with a heated and scented neck pillow and a soft and cozy blanket. I was given comfortable head phones and my pick of Netflix. Both Octavia and Suzanne were so calm and kind and I’ve never felt so zen at the dentist before. Dr. Tack’s advanced local anesthetic techniques created an entirely painless experience. I am so grateful to have had such a positive experience today!
